Bharti Singh to Shakti Arora: Here’s how TV stars are celebrating Diwali 2017

Diwali 2017: From pooja to making colourful rangolis and bursting crackers to gorging on delicacies and playing cards, it’s the time to celebrate and rejoice. Our popular television celebrities work long hours, and with a holiday today, they plan to make the most of it.

Diwali is finally here! The festival of lights and sweets is here to add more happiness in our lives. It’s a day that people dutifully dedicate to their family and friends. From pooja to making colourful rangolis and bursting crackers to gorging on delicacies and playing cards, it’s the time to celebrate and rejoice. Our popular television celebrities work long hours, and with a holiday today, they plan to make the most of it. Also, most of them promote the no cracker idea as it not only helps in lessening pollution but the money can also be spent to help the needy. Here have a look at what your favourite actors have to say about Diwali!
Shakti Arora: I will celebrate Diwali with my family this year. My fondest memories of the festival are of having get-togethers at my grandfather’s place. The significance of the festival is enjoying the Diwali rituals with the whole family. During this festival, people light up their houses and shops. They worship Lord Ganesha for good welfare and prosperity and Goddess Lakshmi for wealth and wisdom.
Pooja Sharma: Diwali is a festival that I love to celebrate with my family every year. This year, I am flying back to Delhi for a day to be with them on this joyous occasion. We will be lighting diyas at home and making rangoli. We will be also doing Puja in the evening.
Shashank Vyas: I am in Mumbai this Diwali. From last seven-eight years, I have not burnt a single cracker. It was in the year 2008, I observed a few kids, just after Diwali night begging for food. I realised that while we are busy burning crackers, spending on clothes and sweets, some people can’t afford a decent meal. From that very moment, I cut down my expenses and saved that amount and started giving it to the needy. I will celebrate the festival with pooja at home followed by an outing with friends.
Bharti Singh: Diwali is the brightest time of the year. This beautiful city is lit up and there are smiling faces all around. Diwali is the festival of happiness and this time with Harsh by my side, it’s going to be double fun. Along with the durga pooja we have a small get together with a few family and friends. It feels really good to catch up with then during this festive season.
Arjun Bijlani: I would celebrate Diwali in Mumbai only with family. I believe in a noise-free and eco-friendly Diwali. I don’t burst crackers. I would request others also not to burst crackers. Diwali is also shopping time as I plan to buy gold, diyas, candles and new clothes for my wife and son.
Nikita Sharma: Usually, I celebrate Diwali with my family in Delhi but since I am busy with Mahakaali, I will be celebrating the festival with my friends in Mumbai. I believe this is the most prosperous Hindu festival, so definitely, I am going to do Laxmi puja and pray for everyone’s peace, prosperity and happiness.
Happy Diwali guys!!!
