“WARCRAFT” FILM NEARLY DONE; DUNCAN JONES MAY MAKE TWO SEQUELS

For years, director Duncan Jones has been working on Warcraft, the film adaptation of the extremely popular MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) World of Warcraft, but it now seems that the project is nearly complete.
While speaking to io9 at the Legendary booth at San Diego Comic-Con, the director revealed that Warcraft is about 10 VFX shots away from being finished, which means that a final product of the film will be ready way ahead of its June 10, 2016 release date. Because of this, Jones also said that he hopes he will have enough time to fit in a passion project of his entitled MuteMute is an original sci-fi film in the same vein as Blade Runner, which had been stalled years ago, although Jones never stopped expressing interest in making it.
Lastly, Jones spoke about how if the everything goes well with Warcraft, there’s a very real chance he would continue the franchise along with Blizzard Entetainment senior vice president of story and franchise development Chris Metzen. Jones mentioned how he has a good idea of a story that can be told over the course of three films.
