Theeran Adhigaram Ondru trailer: Karthi looks impressive as a policeman
Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, which revolves around a good policeman amid the hundreds of policemen who are not willing to serve the nation and its people, has nothing new to offer. The film stars Karthi and Rakul Preet.
We have had plenty of Kollywood movies around policemen. Every Tamil actor worth his salt has played a policeman who is true to his job and aims at making every other policeman follow his path. Karthi starrer Theeran Adhigaram Ondru follows suit. The trailer of the film released on Wednesday takes us through two different phases of a policeman’s life. While we see Karthi chasing bad men, in the other moment, we also see the romantic in him who does everything to keep his on-screen love, Rakul Preet, really happy.It is Rakul’s character that gives us a hint of Karthi’s character. She says, “Why cannot you stay at one place and happily live by bribing people?” But Karthi is genuine and wants to make the society a better place to live in. After several transfers, he reaches a place where the village is being ruled by goons, and of course, the people have no belief in police and law. Karthi, like in any other typical police film we have seen so far, is trying to get law and order in place, But, would he be able to do that?
Well, we have heard many such stories but it would be interesting to see if Karthi’s film will bring freshness to the table. We loved Karthi’s dialogue that is heard at the end of the trailer. He says, “As police, we are not turning bad people into good ones but definitely giving reasons to good people to turn into evil ones.”
The trailer has been shot aesthetically. It keeps you engrossed till the last moment. A scene where Karthi rises from mud-filled land is very interesting and instantly gives you a ‘wow’ feel. Rakul, who plays Karthi’s wife, is pleasing as usual.
